Sascha is a Sydney-based traditional surrogate who has worked in the NGO field for 16 years, with particular focus on the Indigenous sector for the last 11 years. She is mother to a beautiful 7 year old boy who she lives with along with her best friend, her best friend’s hubby and 4 dogs! She offered to be a surrogate to her close friends and her son’s two godfathers in 2014. The initial awkward conversation of offer was followed by the crazy, sometimes tumultuous, sometimes hilarious ride, into surrogacy resulting in the birth of a daughter for her friends in late 2015. The lovely bub is blessed to have 5 sets of grandparents and a wonderful extended collective of family and friends. Traditional surrogacy is increasing in Australia, and can be fraught with ups and downs, but we are all very grateful for the experience.
